In the past year, the crypto world has boomed. Cryptocurrency has reached a market cap of $3.3 trillion, having quadrupled from its 2020 year-end high. At the same time, the world of NFTs (non-fungible tokens) has also come onto the scene. Although still a relatively new concept, the crypto market has latched onto the idea behind NFTs, with some selling for more than $100,000.

To onlookers, the market appears to be a bubble. However, with the announcement of the Metaverse and more applications being introduced to NFTs, the market has caught their attention.

Now, a brand new NFT project has been designed for photographers. This project has been designed by one of the world's most renowned photographers, who believes that NFTs are a great way to give back to the community and have an important part to play in the world of photography. It's called Shabangrs.

What Is Shabangrs?

Shabangrs is the first NFT collection designed for photographers, a community that has been underrepresented within the NFT market. Each NFT will provide holders with several benefits including offers, raffles, and the opportunity to be entered in giveaways. To add to this, holders will also have access to Shabangrsville. Shabangrsville is a virtual city full of resources for photographers. The team behind the project aims for this to become a leading networking place for creatives and photographers.

To make sure the NFTs go to the right collectors, the collection consists of only 2500 pieces. This makes it one of the smaller collections in the NFT market. As a result, spaces will be limited and therefore will be in high demand throughout the photography community.

As well as offering perks for all holders, each NFT will be dynamic itself. Each NFT will have its own exclusive perks based on its rarity. Once the perk has been used, it will no longer be available. This will provide holders with two options. They can choose to hold onto their perk with the hope of selling it for greater profit. Alternatively, they can choose to use the perk, potentially changing their career and life as a photographer.

Unlike many current NFT projects, Shabangrs is being designed without huge profits in mind. Instead, the development team plans to give back to others. The majority of Shabangrs NFT sales will be reinvested into the community, with a small percentage of sales going towards charity. This charity has been chosen due to its links with the photography industry. The United Nations Association of Tampa Bay helps teach refugee children how to take professional photos through their annual Picture My Life® program.

Who Is Shabangrs For?

Shabangrs was created for photographers and creatives around the world who haven't yet benefited from the NFT space. With NFTs being applied to many industries (with gaming, Metaverse and data all being popular), the founding team realized that the next big advancement for photography will be on the blockchain.

Holding a Shabangrs NFT grants all holders access to a community where they can network with like-minded creatives, build new relationships and even land clients. It's a space that has the potential to revolutionize the world of photography, laying the foundation for collaboration between photography and blockchain technologies.

As part of their project, the dev team has been focusing on building an exclusive Discord channel. In only 48 hours, the channel achieved more than 800 members and has continued to grow with the project, with current channel membership around 9100.

Who Are The Team Behind The Project?

The team is led by world-famous headshot photographer Peter Hurley. After his Olympic dreams came to an end, Peter worked with legendary photographer, Bruce Weber. He quickly developed a reputation for clean backgrounds, beautiful lighting, and captivating expressions and, after only a few years, he was recognized by Backstage magazine as the best headshot photographer in New York City.

Today Peter runs one of the largest photographer communities in the world called Headshot Crew. He is also an official partner of Canon, B&H Photos, and several other major brands. Now he's taking a gamble on the world of NFTs. He currently manages a team of 12 at Shabangrs, consisting of creative directors, blockchain engineers, and copywriters. The team is working around the clock to bring the project to life, bringing innovative ideas and concepts to the world of photography.

The Future of Shabangrs

Shabangrs is a pioneering project in the world of NFTs, being the first photography-based community. This makes it an exciting project that will one day aim to bridge the world of blockchain and photography.

Although the project is still new, it's already shown there's significant demand for this kind of NFT. In the future, they aim to build partnerships with Canon and the United Nations Association of Tampa Bay's Picture My Life® annual program.

Shabangrs- A Pioneer in Photography Orientated NFTs

Shabangrs is a one-of-a-kind project with a unique focus and market. It has a refreshing appeal, focusing on a market that hasn't yet been impacted by the world of blockchain and NFTs.

It provides holders with unique benefits that aren't available with most NFTs and more importantly, benefits that can help change the lives of a creative. This gives the impression that the development team is in this for much more than just money. This perspective is reinforced by the fact that the project plans to give back to charity, helping refugee children develop skills that could change their lives entirely.

Another factor that makes this project so unique is the team behind it. The project itself was founded by one of the world's most successful photographers, who not only has a great deal of experience in the industry but understands the journey that most photographers will go on to become a success. This grants him unique insight into the community he's appealing to and further allows the project to stand out in the market.

With so much planned for the future and the NFT market continuing to boom, this is definitely a project worth looking into.
