Fitbit offered several guided programs as part of its premium subscription. The fitness company is now testing a feature called Quantified Self. It is personalized and it involves using Fitbit's data to figure out which strategies can boost your personal stats.

Fitbit's Quantified Self

The feature requires agreeing to an informed consent form. Quantified Self shows trends using fitness trackers and other gadgets to closely measure numerous health metrics to help you improve.

Fitbit stated that Quantified Self is created to find strategies that work well for you as determined by data collected from your smartwatch or your tracker, according to 9to5Google.

The fitness company explains how general guidelines do not always work because your individual genetics, environment and health status can affect results.

After the self-assessment prompts and walkthrough, the fitness app offers strategies grouped under the categories, mindfulness, fitness, nutrition, and sleep.

Each data lasts 28 days, and Fitbit will notified you about your progress via self-ratings, according to Research Gate.

Quantified Self's Categories

Under Fitness, you will be reminded to stretch for five minutes a day, walk briskly at least 30 minutes a day, run one mile a day, work out at least 30 minutes a day, and do yoga, at least once a day.

Under Mindfulness, you will be reminded to do deep breathing five minutes a day, deep breathing for five minutes at least three times a day, and meditate at least once a day at least before bed.

Under Sleep, you will be reminded to not take any caffeine after 12PM every day, no alcohol after 8 PM every day, no screen time after 9PM every day, and meditate for 10 minutes every day before bed.

Under Nutrition, you will be reminded to not take any sugary beverages every day, drink eight glasses of water every day, eat salad for lunch every day, no meat for four weeks, no sugar for four weeks, no processed food for four weeks, and do intermit fasting for four weeks.

Fitbit will use the heart, sleep, and weight metrics over 28 days to determine whether a strategy was beneficial to you. A dashboard view notes trends and it changes every four weeks.

The trends will show you Sleep Score, Heart Rate Variability, Resting Heart Rate, Sleep Duration, Restoration Score, Percent of REM Sleep, Deep Sleep Duration, Awake Duration, and Weight.

Fitbit's Quantified Self program is available for all users. It have started rolling out in recent days, and you can sign-up from the mobile app's Discover tab, under Guided Programs, and under Quantified Self. Next, the app will appear in the Home tab alongside other stat tiles.

According to CNET, you can even use your Fitbit to find your phone. It has a Find My Phone app, and it comes in handy if you left your phone somewhere or if you forgot where you put it.

Just open the app on your watch and your Fitbit will prompt your smartphone to ring and vibrate until it is found. The app must be running on your phone for the feature to work, and it is available on the Fitbit Sense, Versa 2, and Versa 3.

Last year, Fitbit released a feature that lets you track the sleeping pattern of your pets. Fitbit also released a feature that monitors your blood sugar levels.
