Right now, California's EV transition is still faster compared to the efforts made by the current U.S. administration.

However, it seems like the electric car promotions made by the state are not enough since various environmental groups are now asking California Governor Gavin Newsom for more efficient EV promotion rules.
The environmental groups are already signing a letter to show their concern to the Californian government.
California EV Promotions Need To Be Quicker, Faster?
According to Reuters' latest report, Scott Hochberg of the Center for Biological Diversity's Climate Law Institute is one environmentalist agreeing that California needs faster and more efficient EV promotions.

According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in California is $4.74 a gallon, close to $1.20 more than the national average.
"Californians being punished by high gas prices and climate disasters deserve the fastest all-electric future Gov. Newsom can deliver," said Hochberg.
The involved environmental groups said they want Newsom to impose higher annual carbon emission reduction in conventional cars.
They specifically want around a 7% decrease, which is quite higher compared to the current 5% emission reduction requirement implemented by the Biden Administration.
California's governor is expected to share more details about their ongoing EV effort on his State of the Address, which will happen on Tuesday, Mar. 8.
California Takes Advantage of GM's EV Pilot Program
CNBC reported that California is now taking advantage of General Motors' new EV pilot program. The new project is expected to allow EV models to provide temporary power to houses during a massive grid outage.
Thanks to the latest partnership between Electric Co. and Pacific Gas, the new EV pilot program was made possible. GM CEO Mary Barra said that the EV project would certainly benefit electric car owners in the state.
Elon Musk's Tesla FSD might lead to more traffic issues in other news. On the other hand, Volvo's EV wireless charging service is now being tested in Sweden.
