Nvidia DRIVE is the new software provider for companies BYD and Lucid for its electric vehicles and venture to self-driving technology for their releases. The new partnership adds to the list of many manufacturers that will line themselves up to focus on self-driving, something that the chipmaker is aiming to provide its technology and resources.
Nvidia DRIVE: BYD, Lucid to Join in on Self-Driving Software
Nvidia's DRIVE Hyperion is a self-driving system that focus on bringing an autonomous feature for vehicles, with its recent ventures with BYD and Lucid Motors. The two automakers are adopting the Nvidia DRIVE on their electric vehicle releases.
Nvidia announced that its DRIVE platform invited new partners to take on its self-driving software, with BYD and Lucid Motors joining its focus on new ventures. The news comes alongside the new $11 billion pipelines the company focuses on, particularly with expanding its services, including DRIVE Hyperion and DRIVE Orin.
BYD is to utilize NVIDIA Drive's Hyperion platform and would adopt the service from there, focusing on the new self-driving feature to include in its future EV releases. The DRIVE Hyperion architecture will power BYD's autonomous driving ventures to help its vehicles move through traffic and everything on the road.

On the other hand, Lucid Motors is joining the Nvidia DRIVE platform, announced on the chipmaker's latest showcase.

Nvidia DRIVE and its Offers for the Automotive Industry
Nvidia DRIVE may be a system that is not often heard in the automotive industry. Still, it is one that gained the trust of many automakers to adopt for their designs in terms of vehicle autonomy. Companies like Volvo, JiDU, Jaguar Land Rover, Polestar, Xpeng, Mercedes-Benz, Li Auto, Nio, and more are some of Nvidia's clients for its DRIVE ventures.
Nvidia and its Offers
Nvidia is best known for everything about computers, particularly with its GPU, which the company focuses on bringing massive features and functions with handling enormous processes. The computer components company may focus on gaming and heavy computer processes in its company, but it is not the only venture of the tech giant.
There is an upcoming graphics card from the company for this year, and rumor has it that it will release by March 29, focusing on the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti that will update its current lineup. The corroborations that center on Nvidia's new GPU got a confirmation from a Canadian retailer that already listed the latest GPU but put it up for $4,000.
Nvidia DRIVE is focusing on bringing a new self-driving feature for all, and it invited the likes of WeRide, DeepRoute.ai, Pegasus, and other autonomous systems startups in the industry. The company has an extensive list of clients already, and the new additions include that of Lucid Motors and BYD, focusing on its clean energy vehicles.
