The company's yearly shopping holiday aimed to attract its subscribers for their premium shipping and entertainment packages will be launched in July this year.

"This year, Prime Day will take place in July in more than 20 countries," the retail giant wrote in a press release.

They added that "during Amazon's annual shopping event, Prime members will be able to save on products from national brands and small businesses across every category."

Amazon announced the date together with the financial results of their first quarter that ended on March 31.

Last year's Prime Day was held on June 21 and 22, which was supposed to take place in October in line with 2000 Prime Day but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is worth noting that when Prime Day was last held in the month of July, it was way back in 2015.

The company might adopt last year's timing in which the shopping holiday event lasted for two whole days, which is usually on Monday and Tuesday.

Besides Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the annual Prime Day serves as one of the best avenues for shoppers to get deals and the best gifts. The company, however, increased the price of a Prime subscription to $139 per year compared to its old price of $119. This is the first price increase since the year 2018.

It is expected that the two-day marathon will see various camera deals, with many discounts on various photographic products such as frames, lenses, filters, tripods, and other cameras. They will also include discounts on some of their best laptops, camera phones, tablets, and other gadgets.

Despite the company not revealing its revenue for Prime Day 2021, Amazon reported that shoppers could buy more than 250 million items, including home goods like Roomba vacuums, Keurig coffee makers, Fire TV Stick 4K, Alexa voice control, and many more.

Expected Prime Day Date and Time

According to Digital Camera World, they are expecting the Prime Day event to be up and running for 48 hours in each region, which is set to finish on Tuesday at midnight local time. But, it is also worth noting that not all the deals will be live at the same time. Some of the deals will only be offered for a few hours.

Customers must note that the best deals can sell out within just a few minutes, especially if that Amazon price is priced with a Lightning Deal, which means that when you find a good deal, you should immediately pick it up because it can sell out easily.

Making the most out of the grabs

Amazon Prime Day will likely introduce big discounts on the company's products, such as their Blink, Ring, Echo, Fire TV, and Kindle. Hence, one must keep an eye on great deals on these products.

Although Amazon shoppers will have to wait until November for Black Friday, Prime Day will be an ideal way to get a new camera with a great discount. But to make the most out of the shopping, one must sign up for a membership first because this event will only be limited to subscribers.
