Samsung and Google's Wear OS is adding a new feature for its wearable tech operating system, and it is with support to stream YouTube Music right on the device. The stream would be available to access directly when the device connects to WiFi and 4G LTE, and it would allow people to avoid downloading the tracks on the app or device for it to play.

Google's community post announced that a new feature is coming for all Wear OS devices and it will bring a new way to stream music directly on the smartwatch. Instead of previously downloading offline songs to play on their device via YouTube Music, the Wear OS is now allowing online streaming for all music needs.
Streaming directly online may put users at an advantage of having different tracks available on the Wear OS smartwatches, instead of previously requiring a download of a specific playlist. It will enable users to select different tracks from many artists available on YouTube Music, without the need to download them before playing.

No Need to Download YouTube Music Tracks for Wear OS
The Wear OS previously added YouTube Music to its list of apps available on the wearable tech, but the catch is users need to download it before playing. It is not streaming, as streams focus on having the ability to choose among the library and play it anytime, provided that it has an internet connection.
Wear OS Smartwatches that have WiFi or LTE support may now stream directly thanks to this update.
Wear OS and What it Offers for the Public Now
YouTube Music for the Wear OS was previously offered by Google and Samsung last year, but there is a catch to using its service for the system. It is only available to stream using the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic devices which is a bummer for all those that have the Wear OS on their smartwatches.
Other streaming platforms are also available on the Wear OS, and it includes Spotify and its application to work directly on the new operating system for smartwatches. However, users also need to download it to the smartwatch's storage for it to work, and it would take on space and would only allow specific songs to play directly on the device.
Now, the capability to stream directly over WiFi and LTE is available on the Wear OS for YouTube Music, and users no longer need offline downloads to choose different songs on the watch. It adds another layer of feature for the tech wearable and it would help users determine different songs to stream if their current playlist is already too much for them.
