Foxconn sees that the supply chain situation is improving amid COVID-19 lockdowns in China.

According to a report by Nikkei Asia, Foxconn's Young Liu told the shareholders that the supply chain situation is now improving even though the lockdowns impacted the production of the tech devices.

"The overall lockdown impact on Foxconn is rather limited. You can tell from our revenues in April and May's performance is also better than we estimated," Liu said, referring to strict COVID containment measures imposed in and around Shanghai," the company chairman spoke.

He added that the firm's forecast would most likely fall on the same level from 2021.

To note, Liu said that their full-year estimate for the supply chain would be "better" than their previous estimate regardless of the Ukraine issue, inflation, and other factors.

Foxconn Revenue Record

In another story from 9to5Mac, Foxconn recorded a 4% decline in its revenue back in April. However, this change is still considered to be much better compared to other iPhone assembly firms.

As such, Quana Computer felt a 40% revenue plunge while Pegatron recorded a 35% drop in revenue for the past month.

Notably, this could indicate that the production for the iPhone might push through soon. This is a strong hint that we might see iPhone 14 in action this 2022, although several rumors suggest that it will be delayed for another year.

Speaking of the upcoming flagship phone, we could expect that the iPhone 14 Pro model will sport a pull cutout design, as well as the hole punch. This time, the Cupertino giant is reportedly ditching the usual notch.

Several reports also point out the arrival of the new A16 Bionic processor, which will be an improved version of its predecessor.

Meanwhile, the regular variants of the most awaited iPhone 14 will have an A15 chip. Another thing is that the new speculation hints at the upcoming four iPhone 14 models this year. The iPhone Mini is expected to be going out in the next batch of smartphones.

Foxconn will now resume operations in China amid the intensifying COVID-19 lockdown. The iPhone assembler will look forward to ensuring that the operations in the plants will continue.
