Tesla's Enhanced Autopilot was a feature offered by the company before, and it is the better version of the Autopilot that controls the vehicle more for its driver. It is a less advanced version compared to the Full Self-Driving, but it may be enough for those that will use it partially or less compared to others.

An online user suggested bringing it back as an option cheaper than FSD, and Elon Musk agreed with the person's statement. Will the Tesla Enhanced Autopilot make its return soon?

According to Drive Tesla Canada's tweet, other regions in the world have a so-called "Enhanced Autopilot" on their clean energy cars from the company's fleet. The feature is what the name portrays, and it is the Autopilot that Tesla improved for a better experience than the base system. Still, it is not a fully autonomous assistive driving feature.

Trev Page, the founder of TeslaOwnersOnline, reposted the article and suggested bringing back the Enhanced Autopilot in all versions of the Tesla, available in different versions and releases of the EV company. The page also said to make it an option that is cheaper than the FSD, primarily as the Full Self-Driving feature focuses on a subscription setup.

Elon Musk to Bring Back Enhanced Autopilot Soon?

The tweet got noticed by the Tesla CEO and founder, Elon Musk, who seems to agree with the user in bringing back the Enhanced Autopilot among its electric vehicles, available in most regions. Musk replied with a simple "Ok" statement and did not say anything further regarding its return for the public's use.

It would be in the middle tier, with the basic Autopilot to start, the Enhanced Autopilot, and the FSD as the top autonomous feature.

Tesla's Autonomous Driving Systems

Tesla features several autonomous driving systems present in its current offers for its electric vehicles that users may utilize upon purchasing their cars from the factory. Users would need to pay extra for the FSD, and a subscription is present to get the feature, and these drivers would have the chance to experience an outstanding, " human-like feature."

On the other hand, an "entry level" autonomous driving system in the company is present in the EV, and it features an experience that would need a person's intervention at all times. The Tesla Autopilot is the initial driving system available in the EV, with its recent experiences allegedly offering a "buggy" feature that is inferior to the FSD.

Users are asking for a middle ground, and the Tesla CEO might deliver.

The Enhanced Autopilot was a feature that aimed to do better than the previous Autopilot driving system, offering an improved experience for the public. It performs better than the regular Autopilot and would be a more assistive driver that would provide a cheaper experience than the FSD, as the user suggested online.
