In this handout from NASA, a full-disk multiwavelength extreme ultraviolet image of the sun taken NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) is seen MArch 30, 2010 in space . The colors represent different gas temperatures with red being cooler and the blues and greens being hotter.

Researchers have been trying to create various technologies that can heal Earth for the past few years. However, it seems like existing solutions are still not enough.

Now, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology decided to work on a unique global warming solution. Here are the things you need to know about the new Space Bubbles tech.

How MIT's Space Bubbles Project Works

According to Dezeen's latest report, the new Space Bubbles project aims to create frozen space bubbles that can be positioned between Earth and the sun.

Sun rays illuminate the desert February 7, 2002 north of Las Vegas, NV where the primary proposed rail route for transporting radioactive waste to the site of Yucca Mountain lies. Although the route would skirt around downtown Las Vegas, many residents dislike the idea of shipping 70,000 tons of nuclear waste over nearby highways and railroads.

MIT experts stated that these could be used to reduce the global warming effects caused by man-made activities.

The tech agency explained that since geoengineering-based solutions are usually inefficient and also harm the planet, they want to create a new space-based solution that is much safer.

"Yet, most geoengineering proposals are earth-bound, which poses tremendous risks to our living ecosystem," said MIT via its official website

Now, MIT believes that their new space bubbles could be the most efficient thin-film structure that can prevent solar radiation. If you want to see more details about this new space-based global warming solution, you can click this link.

Top Global Warming Solutions 2022

As of writing, manufacturers and organizations are working on various global warming solutions. One of these is Tesla, which focuses on developing and producing zero-emission vehicles.

Aside from Tesla, other companies want to help heal the world. Here are some of the solutions that are currently relying on:

  • Sustainable infrastructure
  • Responsible consumption and recycling
  • Sustainable agriculture and forest management
  • Sustainable transportation
  • Energy and water efficiency
  • Renewable energies

In September 2021, a new climate tipping point-identifying artificial intelligence was created.

In February 2021, experts warned that Sahara desert solar panels could further harm the planet.
