It would be a way to interoperate among these companies in their future ventures, having a metaverse that will allow people to experience different access and opportunities from the different experiences.
Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia, Unity, and more are included in the forum.

The Metaverse Standards Forum is a way for different tech companies to come together on a single platform that will unify different experiences and open doors to its interoperability for the occasion. Of course, it is not yet available to bring the bridge and jump from one world to another, as not all experiences here are already available.
Many companies joined the Standards Forum, which includes multiple names in the tech industry that are now founding members and have stakes in the development that will soon arrive. According to its launch release, it includes words like:

What Does the Metaverse Standards Forum Bring?
It brings an organization that will focus on connecting the metaverse from the different companies and have them work together as a whole. It will give the public more experiences to see without needing to disconnect and connect to their preferred platform.
Metaverse and its Progression
Many companies dipped their hands in the metaverse's pool of business, and it is a developing industry in the current time and generation. Microsoft has its take on the metaverse and is still focusing on its development as there are no releases from the company yet. It is under development, and the company is looking into selling it and making robots.
Others are also joining the metaverse craze, and it is Sony has rumors about a take on the digital platform it will have for the public to experience. There are several takes regarding the online open-world of Sony via its PlayStation, and its venture that would help in its progression is coming soon, with the PSVR 2.
It is not companies like Meta or Niantic who are committed to the progression of the metaverse.
Different tech companies and names in the industry are joining a metaverse forum to help solidify and unify the many creators and developers who are venturing into the new digital space. There are speculations that the metaverse will be the future of the internet and will be the space that people will be staying on soon, and the forum is a way to give them a bridge to different offers.
