The Sims 4's latest expansion pack will take you back to your high school days. For some, this could be the worst years of their lives, while others consider it the best. Either way, The Sims 4 will bring you back a healthy amount of nostalgia that will make you feel young again. 

A brand-new trailer and official announcement confirmed the speculations of fans for months. Now, you get to "see" what your high schoolers do at school-no more just watching them take the school bus and waiting for them to come home.

What to Expect

You can also get to attend classes, get to know your teaches, hang out with your friends in the cafeteria, and even decorate your locker. Indeed, it's the high school experience in the US that will be a lot of dun. 

What's even better is that there will be major events for the teen sims to attend, such as proms and graduations. How exciting is that???

The teens will also get more traits, behaviors, and interaction options that will set them apart from young adults and adult sims. Furthermore, they'll likely have more interactions around pranks and other mischiefs. They can also sneak out past curfew, skip classes, or even ask someone out on a date. 

George Pigula, the lead producer of The Sims 4 High School Years explains the new features of the expansion, according to Kotaku, "Sims will learn to juggle school and extracurricular events, form lifelong friends, and experience big moments like prom.They can even develop their own fashion likes & dislikes with the new Trends app with clothes designed by Depop sellers. High school is an incredibly formative time, and we wanted to give players the chance to create and customize their own personalized high school experiences before their Sims reach young adulthood." 

Teens will also explore their identity further, which also includes growing and grooming body hair. There are also new actions, such as sitting cross-legged on the bed. Teens also have the chance to be a "Simfluencer" where they can sell outfits and designs. 

Then, when they graduate from high school, all the decisions they made over their four years will impact their interests and personality moving forward. 

How to Get The Sims 4: High School Years

The Sims 4: High School Years expansion pack will be released on July 28, 2022. You can buy it before September 8, 2022 to receive new items like Groove Tube Wireless Speaker, Spine Reticulator Gaming Chair, and Try Hard LED Panels. The DLC will be $39.99, that is similar to most expansion packs of The Sims 4. You can pre-order The Sims 4 High School Years here.
