Microsoft might have accidentally leaked the new update for the Windows 11 OneDrive sync client.

According to the latest report by XDA Developers on Monday, July 4, Microsoft might possibly roll out the new changes for the OneDrive client on Windows 11.

So far, we know that OneDrive is on the File Explorer of Windows 11 version 22H2. To add, the PC version has a special taskbar for the client which allows the users to compile their files and other software.

The issue here is the inability of Microsoft to release a dedicated app for OneDrive. However, a recent leak points out that this is subject to change soon.

In a strange turn of events, the Redmond tech firm could have accidentally leaked the update regarding the OneDrive client, as spotted by @flobo09 on Twitter.

Based on the screenshots, it appears that the Windows 11 client will be getting a revamped UI this time. The settings app has received a drastic change as the leak shows.

Windows 11 OneDrive App Leaked Features

In a story posted by Windows Latest, the alleged update for the OneDrive app involves bringing a new navigation experience for the users. The interface gets a makeover when it comes to the arrangement of the options.

With the leaked update, users could now add account features. This suggests that it's now easier to manage the settings, given that it's running natively on the Windows platform. Interestingly, the Account tab appears to have a cleaner look this time.

The redesign would also mean that we will no longer see the Network tab. This is essential if you want to adjust the OneDrive client's network bandwidth in the context of uploading and downloading.

Another thing is the Office tab is nowhere to be found, as well. Although they are absent from this update, the users could potentially see them on the Sync & Backup page, particularly the one with the Advanced settings label.

As of writing, the most updated version of the OneDrive sync client is now available for download. However, you might not still see the redesigned UI this time.

This could mean that the update is just for the early beta testers. At the time, Microsoft is now working on the update and continuing to fix some issues before rolling it out to the public.

In the meantime, the company is reportedly looking forward to integrating OneDrive for the latest Windows OS.
