Technology has become integral to everyday life, and perhaps there is nowhere that is clearer than within the healthcare industry. Reeve Benaron is a young entrepreneur, multi-business owner, and investor with a surprising number of accomplishments under his belt, considering his age.

Intrivo, his co-founded COVID-19 testing and tracking company, has enjoyed unprecedented success since its inception at the start of the pandemic. The company offers a complete coronavirus detection and management solution for individuals and businesses who need fast, convenient COVID-19 testing.

On/Go rapid COVID tests can be done at home or in the office, and results are automatically uploaded to a sophisticated tracking application that can be downloaded to an iOS or Android smartphone. This platform helps businesses and population managers adequately test for, track, and isolate cases of COVID-19 in their workforces in order to cut costly and unnecessary closures and infection outbreaks.

Reeve Benaron is one of the most prominent up-and-coming executive professionals in today's corporate landscape and has a lot to say about how entrepreneurs and managers like him can find success. In the interview below, Benaron discusses what he thinks is the most important focus is for human advancement now and going forward into the future.

Humanity Matters

The majority of large businesses today tend to watch trends and crunch numbers to assess the success of their ventures. But Reeve Benaron stresses the importance of putting humanity first not just when creating business ventures but even on a daily basis when making small decisions.

Benaron suggests that the focus ought to shift from what will benefit big business, but what will bring the most value to the largest number of people. He asks important questions like, "Is what I'm doing today going to advance humanity? Is it going to make the world a better place or is it going to regress? Is it going to better me but not make the world a better place?"

While putting short-term success ahead of what's best for other people can immediately increase profits, it's almost always untenable in the long term. But Reeve makes it clear that the progression of humankind is reliant on businesses putting people before profits and making decisions based on what can help the most amount of people in the least amount of time.

Reeve Benaron: Humankind Is Progressing Faster Than Ever Before

Technology is evolving at an unprecedented rate, resulting in massive changes in every industry. Reeve Benaron touches on how humanity has really only started to progress in the last few hundred years, saying," How long has humanity been around? Thousands and thousands and thousands of years. Just as a percentage of how long human beings have been around to how quickly we've advanced, especially in our lifetime, it's truly miraculous."

Never before in history have humans had such immediate access to such a vast amount of information. In just seconds, anyone can pull up pages upon pages of data about topics once reserved only for scholars. Benaron continues, suggesting, "How fortunate we are to be living and having this experience, this human experience, at a time when humanity is progressing so quickly."

Healthcare Evolution Brings Human Advancement

Technology in healthcare is evolving at an incredibly rapid rate, which affects millions of people worldwide. Changes in protocol and equipment often spread quickly across the globe as medical professionals learn new best practices together.

But Benaron warns that despite the massive technological advancements throughout the medical field and how these change the game for medical establishments and their revenue streams, the focus needs to remain on people. "Healthcare is very tricky," Reeve says. "If you're in healthcare for money, you're in healthcare for the wrong reasons. You have to be in healthcare because you generally want to help people, and you want to advance humanity."

He continues, saying, "There is a healthcare revolution happening, whether we like it or not. When I started looking at healthcare and started looking at technology and mirroring those together, I started seeing that there was something that we can really do on the digital side to evolve and advance humanity."

Benaron's efforts to keep the needs of real people at the forefront of his entrepreneurial endeavors have paid off massively not only for him and his company Intrivo but for big business and the general population.

Reeve Benaron's Contribution to the Betterment of Humanity

Intrivo's On/Go at-home rapid COVID-19 testing kits were among the first to receive Emergency Use Authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and offered employers and individuals a better way to identify and quarantine COVID cases. Additionally, the company was awarded a contract with the Department of Defense for the distrubution of millions of at-home COVID tests to more than 25,000 locations across the country, including homeless shelters, nursing homes, military bases, and private residences.

But Reeve Benaron warns that not everything in healthcare can be revolutionized in the same way. "There's a fine balance between a virtual or digital solution and having to treat and to actually get treatment," he says. "If you're having surgery, for example, you can't do surgery at your home. There are certain things that you just can't do."

He suggests that the best way to identify cases where healthcare technology can be improved is to consider what healthcare brands can do to be proactive. Instead of responding to critical health issues, Benaron stresses the importance of taking action first. "[Success] is being able to digitize as much of it as you can, and really focusing on preventive or proactive health, rather than reactive health," he says.

Humanity's Role In the Key Elements of Business Success

Many business professionals are worried that shifting the focus from profits to people will hamper their success, but Benaron points out that the courage to do something different for humanity is one of the most important aspects of success. "The key elements of business success, to me, are courage," he says.

"I would say courage, humanity, and integrity. If I had to put three words on what success defines, to me, it's courage. It's being able to step up and do something bold, make bold decisions, and do something that nobody has done before. It's that kind of courage."

Benaron's work to improve access to viral testing and outbreak management will continue to benefit generations to come, even as healthcare needs change and new problems present themselves.
