Amazon Music Podcasts is slated to receive a significant upgrade, as the platform will soon include AI-generated episode highlights and chapters.

CNET details in a report that this development follows Amazon's acquisition of Snackable AI, an audio intelligence startup specializing in creating structures for lengthy video and audio snippets.

The acquisition occurred at the end of the previous year, and the Snackable AI website now redirects to Amazon Music.

What Snackable AI Does

The technology of Snackable AI enables the automatic generation of highlights and chapters in audio and video segments, delivering insights that engage audiences and align teams more quickly.

Mari Joller, the founder and CEO of Snackable AI, is now the AI and machine learning product leader for Amazon Music Podcasts.

Incorporating AI-generated episode excerpts and chapters could revolutionize the podcast-listening experience on Amazon Music, as listeners can locate specific information or segments without having to listen to the entire episode.

AI is becoming more pervasive as it becomes more sophisticated, and Amazon is just one of many tech companies investing in AI, alongside Microsoft, Google, and Tesla.

Taking a Look at Some Notable Risks

Significant hazards are associated with using AI, despite its immense potential. In a recent meeting with the CEOs of Google, Microsoft, and ChatGPT, US Vice President Kamala Harris discussed the dangers posed by AI.

Elon Musk, Steve Wozniak, and others have implored labs to put artificial intelligence development on hold for at least six months due to its grave dangers to society.

The Latest AI Technologies from Amazon

The launch of Amazon Bedrock, a new cloud service designed to help companies and developers enhance their software with artificial intelligence, is evidence of the retail giant's expanding interest in AI.

In addition, AWS made Amazon CodeWhisperer, an AI-powered coding companion, generally available. CodeWhisperer is the quickest, most accurate, and safest method to generate code for Amazon services, and it is available for no cost.

More Amazon News

Amazon has recently introduced Inspire, a shopping feed similar to TikTok, to all consumers in the United States, TechCrunch reports.

The feature, which was handed out to select customers in December 2020, enables consumers to browse products and make purchases based on content created by influencers, brands, and other users.

Customers can get started by opening the Amazon Shopping app, logging in, and tapping the Inspire icon on the bottom navigation bar. They will then be prompted to personalize their Inspire feed by selecting from over 20 interests, such as cosmetics, pets, and travel.

The scrolling experience resembles TikTok's vertical video feed, and interaction options are on the screen's right side.

Amazon Influencer Program participants can publish content to Inspire, and customers can submit product reviews. Brands, including vendors and merchants enrolled in Brand Registry with an active Brand Store, can also post to Inspire.
