The first official images of the HTC One M9 and One M9 Plus have leaked. The images confirm the smartphones will feature an all-glass front panel, redesigned speakers, and physical home button for the Plus' fingerprint scanner.

As we get closer to Mobile World Congress in March, you can expect to see more and more leaked reports and images of upcoming and unannounced devices. HTC is widely expected to launch its flagship HTC 'Hima' One M9 at a press event scheduled for March 1.

We recently reported on leaked images of what was claimed to be the first pictures of the HTC One M9 where the smartphone appeared to be virtually identical to the current HTC One M8. We noted in our report that the images were removed from the site and it was assumed that HTC was behind the removal, giving further proof that the images were real. Soon, there were reports that claimed the images were legit but actually development units that were enclosed in the One M8's aluminum case.

If a new set of leaked images is to be believed, HTC is going to launch two new smartphones with an updated design. The always-reliable @evleaks posted the above image to his Twitter feed. The HTC One M9 and HTC One M9 Plus will reportedly feature a new glass edge-to-edge front display.

The leaked HTC One M9 and One M9 Plus images reveal that the popular BoomSound speakers are still present and now have cutouts along the top and bottom of the case, similar to the HTC-built Nexus 9. The HTC One M9 is expected to boast a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD display and the HTC One M9 Plus is rumored to ship with a 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad HD display.

The image also reveals that the larger HTC One M9 Plus phablet will sport a physical home button its smaller sibling lacks. The button will reportedly serve double duty by including an embedded fingerprint scanner, similar to Samsung's biometric approach with its Galaxy smartphones.

As always, we'll keep you updated on any new information regarding the HTC One M9 and One M9 Plus as it becomes available.
