Bose has revealed the SoundLink Bluetooth Speaker III as the latest addition to its SoundLink speakers line up.

The SoundLink speakers work with most of the Bluetooth devices such as iPhone, iPad, Android smartphones and tablets. The audio equipment maker first introduced the original SoundLink Mobile speaker in 2011 and updated it in 2012 to offer better audio quality. The company also introduced the SoundLink Mini Bluetooth speaker in June 2013 and it soon became one of the most popular Bluetooth speakers around. The company claims that the SoundLink Bluetooth Speaker III "pushes the boundaries further."

"The new SoundLink III integrates Bose proprietary technologies to reproduce music with fullness, clarity and depth. Four neodymium transducers and dual-opposing passive radiators combine with a new digital signal processing algorithm and improved electronics to play louder than its predecessor, while maintaining balanced and natural sound at higher listening levels," per a Bose statement.

Bose says that the latest SoundLink Bluetooth Speaker III is the company's best-performing Bluetooth speaker yet. The SoundLink III delivers better sound quality and has battery that lasts long. The newest speaker comes in an all-new design and has accessory covers (sold separately) in five attractive colors: gray, blue, green, orange and pink. The SoundLink III connects wirelessly to a user's smartphone, tablet or other Bluetooth device and allows users to share their favorite music on the go.

Bose indicates that the design of the SoundLink III is inspired by the SoundLink Mini Bluetooth speaker, which has curved edges and a thin profile that eliminates the need for a built-in cover or stand. A silicone button on the speaker protects it from dirt and dust and a wraparound metal grille resists any fingerprints.

The latest Bluetooth speaker weighs just three pounds. It measures about 5 inches high, 10 inches wide and just 2 inches deep. The SoundLink III includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that offers up to 14 hours of listening time.

The speaker streams music wirelessly via Bluetooth A2DP with a powerful antenna for reliable connectivity. The SoundLink III also stores six most recently used Bluetooth devices in memory, which makes it easier for users to pair the device to their Bluetooth devices again and again.

Bose has already started selling the new SoundLink Bluetooth Speaker III from its website for $299.95 and the covers for the speaker cost $34.95. The speaker will also be available from select authorized Bose dealers and Bose retail stores.
