The famous pizza chain will be unveiling the Bacon Wrapped Crust DEEP! DEEP! Dish pizza creation on Feb. 23. At $12 an order, this pizza is not for the weak of heart, with 450 calories for a single slice, 23 grams of fat, 830 milligrams of sodium and 40 milligrams of cholesterol, making each bite truly indulgent.
Almost everyone likes bacon and dreams of taking that perfect bite of pizza topped with bacon -- only to be disappointed that there is nothing on the market that can satisfy this craving for heavenly bacon goodness smothering this delizioso! Italian delight. That is until now.
"Every time you take a bite out of the crust, you'll get bacon," David Scrivano, CEO of Little Caesars described the gustatory experience best.
With the nation's growing obsession with bacon, the pizza chain has cleverly taken hold of this craving and integrated it into its product, resulting in the extravagant pizza creation: "In Bacon We Crust."
"Bacon has become the ultimate indulgence. As a comfort food, bacon has emotional connections for many consumers with Mom-made breakfasts and weekend morning family occasions," said Darren Tristano, executive vice president for the research firm Technomic.
This two-square, three-and-a-half-feet of bacon wrapped crust pizza will be available for a limited time -- only until April. It also comes with pepperoni and has bacon sprinkled on top for more crunchy bacon goodness.
