Déjá vu as defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary is a feeling that one has seen or heard something before, something overly or unpleasantly familiar. We've all experienced the sensation of having a strong feeling or sense that the event or occurrence we are currently in has already happened in the past.

Whether you believe in it or not, after hearing the story of one family, you might think twice when it comes to unexplained phenomenon like reincarnation. A boy in Cincinnati claims to have lived a past life as a woman, now he is definitely experiencing more than just a simple case of déjá vu.

5-year-old Luke Ruehlman seems to be like any other boy who loves to play and has a wild imagination. However, his mother Erica noticed that when he was just two years old, he had a growing obsession with safety around their house and the name Pam kept coming up.

While kids can say the cutest and darnest things, Luke commenting that he used to have black hair when he was a girl named Pam prompted his mother to finally ask him what he meant.

"I was like, 'Who is Pam?' That's when he turned to me and said, 'Well I was.' I said, 'what do you mean you were?' He was like, 'Well I used to be, but I died and I went up to heaven and I saw God and eventually God pushed me back down. When I woke up I was a baby and you named me Luke," said Erika Ruehlman.

Though skeptical of Luke's answer, his mother researched the information her son had given him and found out evidence about a woman named Pamela Robinson from Chicago who died in a Paxton Hotel fire in 1993.

Due to uncanny details that Luke has shared about Pam's life - like riding the train and life in Chicago even some details of the way she died, the family has appeared on the show "Ghost Inside My Child" in the hopes of sharing their story to others. The family states that they did not receive money for the show and their intent is for this story of unification to be shared with others because it's a positive one.

Pamela Robinson's family though has not commented on the story.
