In describing the new premium service dubbed Tinder Plus, dating app maker Tinder claims to be providing exactly what its customers want: greater capability to connect with potential love interests on a global scale and the ability to rewind a mis-swipe, essentially getting a second look at a potential match that a user had first swiped away.

Tinder has also expanded its app's "like" feature so users can like as many Tinder potentials as they want.

The two new most requested features called Passport and Rewind come at a time when smartphone and mobile device use is increasing, and consumers are expecting more from online services and paid apps.

They also arrive at the same time Tinder is upping its subscription fees. As Tech Times reported, not all singles are charged equally. If you're under 30, you can purchase Tinder Plus for $9.99 a month in the U.S., but if you're over 30, you'll now pay $19.99 a month.

The dating app works by presenting users with photos of other Tinder members, hopefully all single. Users swipe the headshots to the right to make a connection, and swipe to the left if not interested.

"Tinder works best when swipes are genuine reflections of a user's desire to connect," wrote Tinder in its blog post regarding the new premium features.

"Limitations on rewinding and right-swiping give users more incentive to make sure their swipes are honest. For power users who want to express interest in a large number of people, Tinder Plus grants unlimited liking capability," stated Tinder.

Tinder claims the Passport function is like "teleporting to a different location," as users can change location to connect with people anywhere in the world. Users can search by city or just drop a pin on its map and begin swiping, matching and chatting.

"Navigate between your current location and new destinations. Passport creates real, one-on-one connections with people across the globe. Whether you're planning vacations and business trips or simply expanding your social network, with Passport, you're swiping before you arrive," notes the blog.

In the past, a swipe left was undoable -- the potential love interest's headshot was essentially gone. The "rewind," or what some would just simply call "undo" function, lets a user pull back that photo with a simple touch.

According to one report, report Tinder is responsible for over 6 billion matches in total.
