Blizzard Entertainment, the game developer and publisher behind epic franchises such as World of Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo, has announced that this year's BlizzCon will return to the Anaheim Convention Center on Nov. 6 to 7.

Since 2005, Blizzard has been holding its own event where huge crowds of fans gather from all over the country to come together in a convention of people who share the same passion for Blizzard's games. For the ninth year, participants are expected to come together for two full days filled with game discussions, expansion announcements, and community contests at BlizzCon 2015.

Those who wish to join the ninth BlizzCon can purchase tickets for $199 plus an additional $4 for the booking fee via the event's official EventBrite page. Tickets typically sell out fast, so Blizzard decided to sell them in two separate batches, the first on Apr. 15 starting at 7 p.m. Pacific Time and the second on Apr. 18 beginning at 10 p.m. Pacific Time. Only four tickets are allowed for purchase for every household.

"There's no better way to connect with the ever-expanding Blizzard community than by bringing everyone together at BlizzCon," says Blizzard CEO and co-founder Mike Morhaime in a statement. "With more games in development than ever before, we'll have plenty of exciting updates to share and lots of great eSports competition to look forward to - we can't wait to see everyone there."

As usual, participants will be able to get hands-on play time with the latest versions of Blizzard's most popular games, attend in-depth panel discussions with the game developer's artists and designers, and participate in community contests and win a variety of Blizzard merchandise. Blizzard will also be holding the world finals for its Blizzard eSports, including the StarCraft II World Championship Series and the Hearthstone World Championship.

Blizzard will also be holding a fund-raising dinner to benefit the patients of the Children's Hospital of Orange County on Thursday, Nov. 9, a day before the official start of BlizzCon. Blizzard says it will be the perfect chance to "eat, drink, and be merry alongside Blizzard developers, artists, and community representatives" while lending a hand to a good cause. Ticketing details about the fund-raising dinner will be announced later.

Those who cannot be at BlizzCon in person can also view a live online coverage of the event by purchasing a virtual ticket for a price also to be announced later, along with information about programming and ticket availability.
