The much-touted Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are set for release in 20 countries on April 10, with several others following suit. We take a look at the pricing of the smartphones across the globe. If you are in the U.S. and waiting for the official pricing of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, then these price ranges across different markets might give you a good idea of what price tag to expect:

UK

The pre-orders for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge opened in the UK in March, and the smartphones are slated to launch on April 19 and April 24, respectively.

The unlocked variant of the Galaxy S6 will cost £599.99 (32GB) or around $894 in today's conversion, whereas the contract-free Galaxy S6 Edge will retail for £760 (64GB) or around $1,133.

UK carrier EE is offering the Galaxy S6 (32GB) for £43.49 ($65) per month for two years. Subscribers will need to shell out £49.99 ($75) upfront.

EE is offering the Galaxy S6 Edge (64GB) for £53.49 ($80) per month for two years. Subscribers will need to shell out £49.99 ($75) upfront.

Vodafone's subscription plan for the 32GB Galaxy S6 will require customers to shell out £48.50 (72.33) per month for two years and there is no upfront cost involved. The carrier is offering the 64GB Galaxy S6 Edge for £53.50 ($80) per month for 24 months and there is no upfront cost.

O2 is offering the 32GB Galaxy S6 for £38 ($57) per month for two years and the upfront charge is £99.99 ($149). This is the starting plan for 2GB data.

The carrier is offering the 64GB Galaxy S6 Edge for £48 ($72) per month for two years and the upfront charge is £99.99 $149) for the 2GB Refresh plan.

Three is offering the 32GB Galaxy S6 for £39 ($58) per month for two years and the upfront charge is £49 ($73). The 64GB Galaxy S6 Edge is available for £48 per month for two years and the upfront charge is £49 ($73).

Virgin Media will offer the 32GB and 64GB variants of the Galaxy S6 for £31 ($46) and £37 ($55) per month, respectively, on a two-year contract.

The 64GB Galaxy S6 Edge will cost £48 ($72) per month on a two-year contract.

Middle East

According to Mobile Burn, a leaked memo has surfaced online, which gives insight into the pricing of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones in Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait.

The unlocked 32GB Galaxy S6 will cost $714 in Bahrain and Qatar. The price is a little less for consumers in Kuwait who will need to pay $699. The dual-SIM variant of the Galaxy S6 will retail for $726 in Kuwait, whereas consumers in Bahrain and Qatar will need to pay $741.

The unlocked 64GB Galaxy S6 Edge will cost $934 in Bahrain and Qatar. The price is a little less for consumers in Kuwait who will need to pay $919.

India

The Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 are set to release in India on April 10. The unlocked 32GB, 64GB and 128GB variants of the Galaxy S6 will cost Rs. 49,900 ($802), Rs. 55,900 ($899) and Rs. 61,900 ($996), respectively.

The unlocked 32GB, 64GB and 128GB variants of the Galaxy S6 Edge will cost Rs. 58,900 ($947), Rs. 64,900 ($1044) and Rs. 70,900 ($1140), respectively.

Turkey

The unlocked Samsung Galaxy S6 (32GB) will cost $956 in Turkey, whereas the 32GB Galaxy S6 Edge will cost $1060.

Philippines

The Philippines will get the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge on April 18. The 32GB and 64GB variants of the Galaxy S6 will cost P35,990 ($803) and P41,990 ($937), respectively.

The 32GB and 64GB variants of the Galaxy S6 Edge will cost P41,990 ($937) and P47,990 ($1,071), respectively.

U.S.

Consumers in the U.S. will get the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Edge a day later than most countries i.e. April 11. While the major carriers such as Sprint, Verizon, U.S. Cellular AT&T and T-Mobile all have the pre-order page up, the pricing details are not known at this juncture.

Retailers like Best Buy too will offer the new Samsung smartphones. Rumors suggest that handsets would be in the store by March 27 and the retailer will begin pre-orders from the same day for the April 10 launch on AT&T, Sprint and Verizon. Those who pre-order will also get a "free device", which per the BGR could be a wireless charger.

Italy

Customers in Italy will be able to snag the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge for €739 ($809) and €889 ($974), respectively. The smartphones are available for pre-order directly from Samsung.

Canada

Consumers in Canada can also pre-order the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge on Bell, TELUS and more.

Bell is offering the unlocked 32GB Galaxy S6 for CAD 729 ($583) and the 32GB Galaxy S6 Edge for CAD 829 ($663). 

The unlocked 64GB and 128GB variants of the Galaxy S6 are priced at CAD 839 ($671) and CAD 949 ($759), respectively. The unlocked 64GB and 128GB variants of the Galaxy S6 Edge are priced at CAD 939 ($751) and CAD 1049 ($839).

Those looking to purchase the on-contract 32GB variant of the smartphones need to shell out CAD 249 ($199) and CAD 349.95 ($280) for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, respectively, on a two-year contract.

The on-contract 64GB and 128GB variants of the Galaxy S6 are priced at CAD 359 ($287) and CAD 469 ($375). The on-contract 64GB and 128GB variants of the Galaxy S6 Edge are priced at CAD 459 ($367) and CAD 569 ($455).

TELUS is offering the 32GB Galaxy S6 Edge for CAD 350 ($280) on a two-year contract while the unlocked variant will cost CAD 850 ($680). The carrier is offering the 32GB Galaxy S6 for CAD 250 ($200) on a two-year contract while the unlocked variant will cost CAD 750 ($600).

Heading to Samsung Canada's pre-order page will give you the option of which carrier to choose for either handset.
