Thanks Kenny G Starbucks for creating the perfect iced coffee beverage that we just can't get enough of—the Frappuccino.

The Frappuccino-the popular frothy, part slushy, part sweet slurps of coffee heaven beverage-first launched in1995 in 550 stores across the U.S. and Canada.

Back in the early days of the frap, Starbucks initially only served the frozen drink in coffee and mocha flavors, but now customers can choose from a handful of flavors like the new Caramel Flan Frappuccino or Tiramisu Frappuccino.

And now in honor of its 20th anniversary, Starbucks is serving a limited-time Birthday Cake Frappuccino—because let's face it, this flavor is genius, and even the Frap deserves some cake on its birthday.

The Frap features a "creamy blend of vanilla bean and hazelnut, topped with a special raspberry-infused whip cream" that sounds simply divine (although the 57 grams of sugar in a regular Vanilla Bean Creme Frappuccino alone could make you think twice.) But hey, it's a birthday, so why not indulge?

The Frappuccino first hit stores after the coffee giant acquired The Coffee Connection in Boston back in 1994. The Coffee Connection had a product called the Frappuccino, so Starbucks used the name for its new blended drinks that was allegedly suggested by two employees. However, jazz musician Kenny G says he was the one who sort of pitched the idea to Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz.

"At the beginning Starbucks didn't have anything but coffee," Kenny G says. After seeing the craze another coffee company created over blended coffee drinks, he called up Schultz with the idea. "And I would always call Howard and say, "Howard, there's this thing that they do there and it's like a milkshake, or whatever. I think part of the reason they did [the] Frappuccino was people like me giving them that kind of feedback. So, I'd like to think that I was partially responsible for that."   So thanks Kenny G, or however really was behind the creation.

You can get your hands on the Birthday Cake Frappuccino from Tuesday, March 26 through Monday, March 30.
