More Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note Edge users are now receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for their devices as two U.S. carriers have rolled out the updates.

Sprint has released the Android 5.0 Lollipop updates for both the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note Edge, while AT&T has rolled out the update to users of the Galaxy Note Edge on its network.

Recently, a great deal of progress has been made in rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop updates to users of Samsung's Galaxy Note series. Each year, the company introduces the latest version of its flagship phablet, and last September, it introduced a new companion to the regular flagship Galaxy Note 4, the one-sided curved display Galaxy Note Edge.

The Galaxy Note Edge was Samsung's first mass market foray into the development of the curved screen display that is now a hallmark of the company's new dual-edged Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone, just released alongside the Galaxy S6 which, like the Note 4, sports a more traditional quad-HD display.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Note Edge had been slow in rolling out in relation to its Galaxy Note 4 sibling, which pushed out to multiple regions internationally and is now available on most major U.S. carriers, with only T-Mobile not yet in the mix.

Until this current U.S. update, only Australia and India had seen a Note Edge Lollipop 5.0 update. Now, almost simultaneously, Sprint and AT&T have both released the update.
