Titanfall fans have a lot to digest today as several bits of news about the super-hot, first-person shooter hit the web.

In no particular order, word is out that Electronic Arts will handle the games upcoming sequel, the title will receive 4K support for PC gamers and the only confirmed piece of news is not good. That the release of the Xbox 360 version is being pushed back a few more weeks.

According to one report, Electronic Arts has secured the rights for Respawn Entertainments Titanfall sequel. Gamespot's source said that EA needed a huge level of performance to get the nod and while official numbers have not been released, but according to one source sales in the UK were up 96 percent due to the game and Xbox One bundle being offered.

The research firm GFK Chart Trak reported that Titanfall landed in the top spot on the UK gaming charts. GFK credited the game with giving a 96 percent increase in UK Xbox One sales. Of these purchases, 70 percent took place through the TitanFall/Xbox One bundle that was offered.

No other details, such as if the next version will include PlayStation, were available.

A blog post on chip-maker Nvidia's website, that has since been removed, by Ashu Rege, manager of the company's Developer Content and Technology team said the game will support 4K screen resolution. Upping the game's resolution was always a possibility.

Finally, Xbox gamers will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the game.

Electronic Arts executive VP Patrick Soderlund said in his blog that while he is busy playing and loving the game, it is not ready for a general release. The company is now pushing the North American release date to April 8 and April 11 in Europe.

"I've been playing the game a lot, and it is fantastic.  But we see a few things that can be made even better, so we're giving Bluepoint a little more time to do just that and deliver an epic Titanfall experience for Xbox 360 players," Soderlund said.

He did not say exactly what bugs him about the game in its current state, but he did add that "the game will feature the same 6v6 gameplay, maps, modes, weapons and Burn Cards as the Xbox One and PC versions of the game."
