The last week has felt like a game of one-upsmanship from Hollywood's major studios, who've been releasing one blockbuster trailer after another. Oh, so you think that's a good trailer? Well wait until you get a load of this...

Star Wars: The Force Awakens got the ball rolling with a teaser that had some fans in tears, thanks to a first look at the return of Han Solo. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice showed off its first real footage and some intriguing visuals.

The Fantastic Four reboot got in on the action with a surprisingly good tease. Jurassic World jumped in teeth-first, thanks to breathtaking scenes focusing on Indominus Rex and the mass chaos it creates at the dino theme park.

After all that, what could possibly get your juices pumping next? Enter the wildcard.

In a year of blockbusters built on sequels and existing properties and remakes, an original story is a rare delicacy. It's a huge risk for risk-averse Hollywood, which loves all those sequels because they're guaranteed successes. Signing on for a brand new adventure tale with a big-budget and an unproven formula could be the box office's big story of the year. Or it could be a resounding crash.

That doesn't look to be the case with Tomorrowland, starring George Clooney and directed by beloved filmmaker Brad Bird (The Simpsons, The Incredibles). This Disney film is about an optimistic teenager who teams up with a jaded scientist to find a way into an incredible place, hidden from the world, called Tomorrowland. It's a place where anything science and technology can dream up is possible, and where the best and the brightest come together to build the future.

We've seen a couple of trailers for Tomorrowland already, but this one features a ton of new footage and one extended sequence featuring the first meeting of Clooney's Frank Walker and young Britt Robertson's Casey Newton, which is soon interrupted by the arrival of some peculiar "men in black" types. Only these aren't men. They're robots. They're absolutely lethal and intent on killing both Frank and Casey, but they do it with creepy smiles on their faces.

You didn't see him much in this trailer, but the movie also stars Hugh Laurie as the guy we assume is the movie's villain, David Nix. Raffey Cassidy plays Athena, a mysterious young girl that comes to Casey's aid. And country music star Tim McGraw appears as Casey's dad, a man who's being laid off from his job as an engineer at NASA.

Tomorrowland will be in theaters on May 22, 2015.
