Rumor about the next Spider-Man movie is rife on the Internet as it is said the film will be called, Spider-Man: The New Avenger. If such is the case, then it would prove that the character will eventually become a central member of the Avengers.
Former Latino Review reporter, Umberto Gonzales, made the big reveal though he did say fans should take the whole thing with a grain of salt. Doing so is the smart thing to do, but it does make sense to give the film such a title.
"Take with the tiniest grain of salt pending further confirmation. I'm being told the working title for the untitled SPIDER-MAN stand alone film is SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER Again, it's Sunday so take with grain pending further confirmation. What do you think of the title?" says Gonzales.
The first Captain America movie is called Captain America: The First Avenger, so it would make perfect sense to call the next Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: The New Avenger. Such a title is great for marketing and for boosting ticket sales for Avengers: Infinity Wars.
Spider-Man is set to make his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe within the 2016 movie, Captain America: Civil War. In the comics, Spider-Man did not take a side between heroes, and ultimately found himself in the middle.
We suspect Spider-Man will be served a similar role in the film though we doubt it would be significant since it is indeed, a movie about Captain America. Spider-Man might just get a few exciting action scenes with some witty one-liners here and there to please the fans.
Who will play Spider-Man?
No one is absolutely sure at the moment. Rumors claim Marvel Studios is planning to bring to a life a Peter Parker who is in his teens and still in High School. It might mean the actor would be significantly younger than Andrew Garfield, who surpassed 30-years old.
Apart from Marvel Studios own Spider-Man film, Sony is planning to release an animated movie in 2018. It is not certain if this animated movie will feature Miles Morales since the other will feature Peter Parker.
