If you were considering the Samsung Galaxy S6 but don't want to sign a new two-year contract, eBay has a new deal. The unlocked Samsung Galaxy S6 is priced at $629.99, which is a significant saving over AT&T's $685 and T-Mobile's $680.

Samsung has reclaimed its top seat in the smartphone world with the release of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Last year's Galaxy S5 proved to be a disappointment in terms of sales, and much of the blame was put on the materials Samsung used to build the device. The company is well known for its love of plastic, but in a world where its competitors are offering smartphones built out of premium materials like aluminum and glass, Samsung had to step up its game in the design of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are both built out of aluminum and Corning Gorilla Glass 4, and countless reviews have praised the company for using these materials. Samsung hasn't announced official sales numbers, but preorders of the handsets reportedly were double that of preorders for the Galaxy S5. Both devices are available from all major U.S. carriers.

Smartphone fans considering the Galaxy S6 might want to check out a new deal from eBay, which is offering the factory unlocked 32 GB Samsung Galaxy S6 for $629.99. This price is lower than the $685 AT&T is currently charging for the smartphone off-contract and the $680 T-Mobile is charging its customers.

Interested Galaxy S6 customers can head over to eBay and pick up the 32 GB unlocked Galaxy S6 in choice of black, white or gold for $629.99.
