If the LinkedIn profile of a senior Ubisoft employee is to be believed, a sequel to last year's Watch Dogs is currently in the works.

Senior Ubisoft gameplay programmer Julien Risse updated their LinkedIn profile to include work done on Watch Dogs 2. The only problem is Watch Dogs 2 hasn't been officially announced. Risse quickly updated their profile to remove mention of the game, but not before the folks over at Videogamer noticed and took a screenshot of the listing.

In the screengrab below, you can clearly see a listing for Risse's work on Watch Dogs, the Watch Dogs DLC "Bad Blood" and what appears to be the in production Watch Dogs 2.

So far Ubisoft has not elected to comment on the matter.

News that a Watch Dogs sequel is in the works isn't surprising. At the time of the game's release it broke numerous records, including being the number #1 selling new game IP in game history, with more than 4 million copies of the game sold in its first week on store shelves. The game was generally well received by critics as well. On PlayStation 4, the game currently holds an average MetaCritic score of 80 out of 100. The first game was set in an open-world Chicago. It's not known if the sequel will stay in the "Windy City" or move elsewhere.

Lionel Raynaud, vice president of creative at Ubisoft Montreal, previously spoke about how Watch Dogs could be improved for the sequel, though he didn't go as far to officially announce the sequel. Since it hasn't even been a year from when Watch Dogs released, it may be too soon to expect Watch Dogs 2 to make an appearance at Ubisoft's E3 press conference in June. However, stranger things have happened.
