Samsung has teamed up with Marvel to bring Earth's mightiest heroes to its mobile products with limited edition Avengers cases for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

The smartphone manufacturer announced that people who will purchase the smartphone tablet will also receive four Avenger-themed cases, valued at $200, for free. The cases feature themes from the Incredible Hulk, Thor, Iron Man and Captain America.

The special offer runs from May 4 to June 1, and it is available to all customers in the United States.

Customers must have their Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with them as part of the process of claiming the Avengers cases. There are only 4,300 cases available, according to Samsung.

This is not the first time Marvel has partnered with Samsung in lending the smartphone company its popular superhero characters.

Earlier this week, Samsung Mobile's chief of marketing, Lee Young-hee, unveiled Iron Man versions of the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge smartphones. The release was made during an event for the movie Avengers: Age of Ultron in Seoul, South Korea.

The Samsung executive said that the new designs for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge phone units will feature Iron Man's signature red and gold colors. Further details on the specifications of the new phones will be announced later.

"We will decide on other details soon after discussions with Marvel Studio," Lee said. "It will be released either at the end of May or early June."

Samsung and Marvel also gave people who bought the Samsung Galaxy Tab S series back in June free subscription for Marvel Unlimited for three months.

In 2008, Samsung's smartphone rival LG Electronics came out with its own tie-up with Marvel. The company tried to utilize the popularity of the Iron Man film by releasing its themed mobile phone, the LG Voyager. LG even proclaimed it as the "iPhone killer" and launched a commercial for the phone spoofing superheroes.

When the film's sequel, Iron Man 2, came out in 2010, LG released its new Android-powered device, the LG Ally. The company mounted an Iron Man event in New York that allowed attendees to experience LG's brand of Augmented Reality.
