Big questions are being asked right now in terms of the identity of the female Thor. Well, her identity has leaked, and fans won't believe who is truly the person wielding the hammer of the god of thunder.

We have to say that after the learning of her identity, we were shocked and in disbelief for quite some time. Never did we saw it coming and guess what? It makes perfect sense for her to be the new Thor.

SPOILERS AHEAD:

So, who is the female Thor? Well, no other than Jane Foster. For those who are unaware, Jane Foster has been Thor's love interest in the Silver Age comics, but no so much in the new ones. She's also his love interest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the first film and continues to be so up to this day.

What's interesting here is how this female Thor is so much similar to the original. Confused? Don't be. Bear in mind that the original Thor was a human who goes by the name Donald Blake and Jake Olsen, but could transform into the thunder god due to being able to wield the hammer.

In his human form, Thor is a man walking with a stick and unable to fight as normal unless he transforms. From what we understand, Jane Foster is in a similar situation, but instead of having a walking stick, she's suffering from breast cancer.

Another interesting aspect of Jane Foster becoming Thor is that every time she transforms, the act bring her closer to death a little faster. We're suspecting her cancerous body is unable to sustain fully the power of the hammer.

"Jane Foster has been part of the Thor comics and the Thor mythology from almost the very beginning," writer Jason Aaron said. "The very act of picking up this hammer, of becoming Thor, is killing her. Where we go from here is the real story."

We'd love to find out how things end for Jane Foster and whether or not she finds a way to get rid of the cancer that is eating away at her very soul.
