Reports have been spreading online that Samsung is assembling high-end tablets soon to be released this year. However, it seems like it would be realized sooner as a Geekbench entry was seen of an upcoming Samsung tablet listed as samsung CHOPIN-LTE uploaded last May 7, 2015.

Minimum specifications were included, but the surprising element is that it looks like Samsung will be joining other tablet manufacturers Asus and Lenovo in creating a powerful Android tablet that houses an Intel processor. ARM-based processors usually powered Samsung tablets.

Based on the listing, CHOPIN-LTE would boot on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop, powered by one of the latest batch of Intel processors for tablets, the 64-bit Intel Atom X5-Z8500 chipset. This new chipset built on the 14nm architecture Cherry Trail platform will boast four cores that the company have clocked at 2.24GHz and will sport an 8th generation Intel graphics on board. The Samsung team would pack CHOPIN-LTE with a huge 4GB of RAM accompanied by an Intel XMM 726x LTE modem so one could look forward to LTE connectivity on the tablet.

Geekbench gives  its  single-core a score of 1005 and a multi-core score of 3426, suggesting performance comparable to that of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Unfortunately, specifications such as its screen size and its screen resolution are not yet available, but it could perform better if packed with advance displays. Geekbench has not revealed other important details such as the cameras, storage space, and other features, but based on the attached 4GB of RAM, this is definitely a high-end offering from Samsung. Then again, the slate could also be a prototype for testing purposes only, so consumers could only wait for an official Samsung announcement.

For the meantime, Samsung tablet fans could actually take advantage of great Samsung tablet deals on a Memorial Day Sale hosted by eBay.
