Verizon is now rolling out the sweet Android 5.0.2 Lollipop to its version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE model.

The release of the much-awaited Android M is getting closer but there are still many devices that are waiting to get the latest Android Lollipop update. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE customers had to wait a little longer to get a software update as the carrier released the software update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 in the last week.

The latest update will take the software version to T707VVRU1BOD4. The software update weighs 1GB, which means that the customers will need sufficient storage space as well as a Wi-Fi connection for downloading the over the air (OTA) update. Customers should also ensure that their devices have enough charge, at least 50 percent, before downloading the update.

Unfortunately, Samsung does not issue a changelog listing the updated features that a software update will bring to a certain device. However, the latest software update to the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE will bring various changes and new features such as plenty of lively color across the user interface, new TouchWiz UI with Material Design, new lock screen, new multi-window mode, updated Notification panel and more.

The software update will also bring many bug fixes for a seamless use experience and improved reliability.

As Verizon is getting Android 5.0.2 Lollipop to the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE, customers will hope that the carrier releases the Android 5.1 Lollipop as soon as possible. However, Verizon is known for rolling out software updates quite late, which means customers will have to wait a few months before getting another software update for their tablets.

As it is an OTA software update in the U.S. customer of the tablet will just have to wait for a notification from the carrier. Users can also check for the update manually by navigating through Settings, About Device, Software Update and Check for updates.
