The upcoming Samsung Galaxy J5 is the star of a fresh leak, with a number of new images purportedly showing off the design of the handset.

Just last month, the yet-to-be-announced Samsung Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 surfaced on the TENAA – China's equivalent of the FCC – complete with images and spec details.

Samsung has still not made any official announcement in these regards, but this brand new leak falls in line with the previous TENAA listing for the purported Samsung Galaxy J5 with model number SM-J500F.

The Galaxy J5 is expected to launch as a mid-range device with an affordable price tag, and SamMobile has now obtained live images of the handset. Mirroring the same design that surfaced last month on TENAA, the new images show the Galaxy J5 with a full plastic body and removable back panel.

The upcoming device bears an uncanny resemblance to the Samsung Galaxy J1 — the first (and currently only) device in the Galaxy J series, though it has different dimensions and screen size.

According to the latest leak, the Galaxy J5 will feature a removable battery as well, and will house the SIM card and microSD card slot under the back panel. SamMobile said the Galaxy S5 seems to run the new TouchWiz version Samsung introduced with its Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge — packing less bloatware on top of Android 5.1 Lollipop.

When it comes to hardware specifications, various leaks and reports so far have tried to anticipate what the Samsung Galaxy S5 will bring to the table.

Nothing has been officially confirmed at this point, but the upcoming mid-ranger is expected to have a 5-inch display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1.5GHz of RAM, 8GB of internal storage capacity, microSD support for extra storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel selfie cam on the front and a 2,600 mAh battery to power everything up.

It remains unclear just when exactly the Samsung Galaxy J5 will make its official debut, but it shouldn't be too long now. The TENAA listing already suggested an imminent launch, and the latest images of the device further indicate that a release is just around the corner.
