The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet received A pluses on its dustproof and waterproof certifications. While the tablet has endured a battery of tests in Sony Mobile's labs, some owners of the Xperia Z4 Tablets have been doing some torture testing of their own and have shared the results with the world via YouTube.

Back in March, Sony unveiled the Xperia Z4 Tablet at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The tablet builds on the success of the Xperia Z2 Tablet and is perfect for demanding lifestyles, stated Dennis van Schie, SVP of Sales & Marketing at Sony Mobile, when the Xperia Z4 Tablet was unveiled.

"Consumers appreciate innovation most when it can bring real value to their lives, so we have carefully crafted and considered every aspect of Z4 Tablet to meet even the most demanding lifestyle," said van Schie. "Sleek and lightweight, yet incredibly powerful, with standout entertainment and smart productivity features, Xperia Z4 Tablet is an extraordinary tablet that fits perfectly into your day-to-day life."

The tablet featurfes a 2GHz, octa-core Qualcomm 810 processor, an Adreno 430, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of total storage space and a 2K display. There's a 5.1 MP chat cam on its face and an 8 MP shooter at its rear.

The Xperia "can easily handle a dip in the sink. In fact, if it gets dirty you can simply rinse it off under the tap," said Sony. "And because the USB port is now capless, you can splash away without worrying about having to close it. You can even take pictures with it while swimming in freshwater for up to 30 minutes, at a depth of 1.5 m."

In one video, the Xperia Z4 Tablet is dropped flat on its face—all 10.1 inches of its scratch-resistant glass anti-fingerprint-coated face—but it didn't even flinch and worked just fine. In other videos, the tablet was shot in its face with an Airsoft gun and its screen cracked.

The collection of torture test videos were rounded up by the good people over at the Xperia Blog, an unofficial website dedicated to all things Xperia.
