The Lenovo Vibe Shot, the company's latest entry in the Vibe series, was released in China last month. The smartphone is now also available in the United States through online retail giant Amazon for $380 unlocked.

Similar to how Amazon is selling the HTC One M9+ in the United States despite there being no official launch of the smartphone in the country, the Vibe Shot that is being sold by the retail company has not been configured to work seamlessly within the United States.

The Vibe Shot currently on sale on Amazon will not properly work with LTE networks within the United States. However, the smartphone will work with the 3G networks under AT&T and T-Mobile.

The device ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor that clocks in at 1.7 GHz and 3GB worth of RAM. The device also has a full HD, 5-inch screen and a 2,900 mAh battery, with 32GB of expandable memory. In addition, the construction of the smartphone utilizes premium materials of tempered glass and metal to give the Vibe Shot a luxurious feel in the user's hands.

The Vibe Shot, however, is described as a camera-centric smartphone. The front-facing camera of the smartphone is an 8MP one, while the rear-facing camera is a 16MP one. The rear-facing camera of the Vibe Shot comes equipped with a tri-color LED flash that allows the user to make adjustments depending on different lighting situations, optical image stabilization to limit the effects of a shaking camera and a Smart/Pro toggle that switches on and off manual camera controls for professional-level shooting of pictures.

The camera also boasts of a six-piece modular lens, and utilizes an infrared auto-focus system to cut down the time it needs to land a good focus on a picture's subject.

The offer on Amazon gives customers the added benefit of free shipping upon purchasing the Vibe Shot. There are also two color options for the device, namely black and red.

"The Lenovo VIBE Shot smartphone brings together craftsmanship, power and style to create a phone you need and a camera you will love," the company said [pdf] in the specifications sheet for the device.
