Samsung will officially unveil its upcoming flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 5, in September. Render images and a video of the next-generation phablet shows the handset will be following the same design as the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

Apple and Samsung are both gearing up to launch their latest and greatest smartphones in the near future. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus at a media event in September. Since these are 's' moniker devices, the overall look and design will remain unchanged but include more powerful specs, like a 12-megapixel rear camera.

We have reported that the iPhone 6s' aluminum unibody frame was leaked and showed an almost identical aluminum case/design as the current iPhone 6. Apple is believed to be holding a media event in September, where it will announce the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

Samsung is planning to unveil its next-generation flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 5 in the beginning of September at IFA in Berlin, which the company has used each year to announce its latest and greatest S Pen packing smartphone. Just as the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge feature a new premium glass and metal design, the Note 5 is widely expected to take on those materials and similar look.

A video of what are reportedly 3D CAD renderings of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has been posted by the always-reliable tipster, @OnLeaks.

The video shows off 3D render of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and provides a detailed look at the device from every angle. The overall design of the phablet is very similar to the design of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, complete with protruding rear camera.

Current reports suggest that the Galaxy Note 5 will sport a high-resolution 2K or 4K 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, a Samsung Exynos octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM and enhanced S Pen functionality.
