To clear out inventory for its upcoming Galaxy Note 5, Samsung is offering a deal on the Galaxy Note 4. The company will give a $200 rebate when a Galaxy Note 4 is purchased at full price.

As we get closer to IFA, which begins on Sept. 4 and runs through Sept. 9, we can expect to hear more and more details about Samsung's upcoming flagship phablets. The company is widely expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus at the trade show, just as it has used the event to launch previous flagship Note phablets.

We recently reported that a video was released that reportedly showed 3D renderings of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The phablet shares the same design influence Samsung debuted on the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. We also just reported that specs for both the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus leaked, along with images that show the larger Galaxy S6 Edge Plus compared with the current Galaxy S6 Edge.

Just as Samsung did away with a removable battery and microSD expansion slot in the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, which upset many of the company's biggest fans, the Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus are said to drop those features as well. This news has upset Galaxy Note fans, with some planning on buying a Note 4 or not upgrading their Note 4 to a Note 5 because of these two omissions.

In what appears to look like a way for Samsung to clear out some Galaxy Note 4 inventory and a way for customers to get a great deal on the phablet, the company has announced that it will offer a $200 rebate for anyone that buys the Galaxy Note 4 at full price between now and July 26.

"Submit the original cash register receipt for the Qualifying Purchase online by first printing his/her name on the original register receipt, signing and including the submission date on the receipt, clearly circling the Qualifying Purchase, and then following the on-screen prompts to upload a photograph or .PDF of the original register receipt showing the Qualifying Purchase. The file must be in .JPEG, .JPG, .GIF, or .PDF format and may not exceed 5 MB."

If you prefer having a Galaxy Note with a removable battery and microSD expansion slot, this new Note 4 promotion from Samsung is worth considering.
