With only a few days left on its successful Kickstarter campaign, the developers behind Shenmue III just released a new video showing off what a scene in the video game will look like.

The video shows a scene featuring the "Lake of the Lantern Bugs" with two characters from the game on the lake accompanied with atmospheric music. It's just a tease of what the game will look like, and as the video says, the game is still, obviously, under development.

"Ryo and Shenhua arrive at the Lake of the Lantern Bugs after their long journey," writes the game's developers on the Kickstarter page. "Entranced, they watch the gentle flight of the lantern bugs upon the mirage-like oasis."

The announcement of Shenmue III created such a stir at last month's E3 video game conference that once the Kickstarter project to fund the game went live, it received around $2 million just within its first few hours. Of course, now that the project is winding down, so have donations and, as of today, it's a little under $5 million. That's about $5 million less than the $10 million stretch goal set earlier by creator Yu Suzuki to make the game "truly have the features of an open world." However, Suzuki promises a good gaming experience for fans of the franchise, regardless.

"I am grateful I have another chance for a new Shenmue," said Suzuki to GameSpot. "I will do everything I can within the budget."

Those still wishing to donate can still get a digital copy of Shenmue 3 for PC or PS4 for just $29, which is probably less than the game will eventually retail for. Physical copies come at higher donation levels and those donating even more can get in-game items, a collector's edition, art books and even an illustration signed by Suzuki.

Even before the E3 announcement, the making of the Shenmue games became the subject of a documentary that just recently got its own trailer.
