Apple's iPod line may have taken a backseat to the company's other mobile devices in recent years, but it looks like it isn't about to move on from them anytime soon. The company has just annnounced a refresh to the entire line, although the iPod touch is the only one getting any significant updates.

In addition to some new color options (blue, pink and Apple's now-standard gold), the iPod touch now packs the same A8 processor found in the iPhone 6, along with an M8 motion coprocessor that promises better fitness tracking, and both an upgraded 8-megapixel rear camera and an improved front-facing camera.

What's more, Apple's also added a new 128GB model at the top of the iPod touch line, which will set you back $399. Prices for the rest run the usual $199 for the 16GB model, $249 for 32GB, and $299 for 64GB. Despite the upgraded specs, though, the iPod touch still can't be paired with an Apple Watch.

As for the iPod nano and iPod shuffle, they're both sticking around, but have only gotten some new colors in the refresh. They're each now also available in blue, pink and gold in addition to the previous options.
