Music games are making a big comeback with the release of Rock Band 4 and Guitar Hero Live later this year, but the music industry has changed leaps and bounds since the music game genre peaked back in the late 2000s.

In the five years since Rock Band 3, for example, music streaming services like Spotify have come to dominate how many people listen to music on a day-to-day basis. It only makes sense then for Rock Band to get in on the action by creating an official Rock Band 4 Spotify playlist, featuring all the songs confirmed for the game so far.

It's a stellar collection of rock music at this stage, and the playlist will certainly be growing even more in the weeks and months to come. Artists like Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Jack White, Aerosmith, Van Morrison, Paramore and Avenged Sevenfold are just a few of the highlights from the playlist.

Learn the songs on the playlist well, because you'll likely need to shake off some of the rust when Rock Band 4 arrives. The game will play similar to that of previous Rock Band games, but developer Harmonix promises a more robust create a band experience, one that will address all the ups and downs of hitting it big in the rock music industry. Players will also need to get used to the new freestyle guitar solos in the game, which allow players to shred anyway they like during certain segments.

Pre-ordering the game will snag you 30 free songs, and if you pre-order on Amazon specifically you'll get an additional four songs free of charge, adding to the already massive setlist.

Rock Band 4 releases on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 on Oct. 6.
