For fans who can't stand to wait any longer than necessary for EA's upcoming Star Wars Battlefront, there is a way to play the game five days early.

The only catch is you are going to need an Xbox One and a subscription to EA Access, which is exclusively on Microsoft's next-gen console. EA Access allows subscribers who pay $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year to have unlimited access to an ever growing selection of older EA titles like Battlefield 4, Titanfall and Need for Speed Rivals. Subscribers also get a 10 percent discount off digital purchases of EA games on the Xbox digital storefront.

Most importantly for Star Wars fans, certain EA games are playable five days early through the service. Microsoft's Phil Spencer has now confirmed that Star Wars Battlefront will be available to download and play through EA Access five days before the game's official release date on Nov. 17.

Progress made in the game through playing early will carry over if a player decides to then purchase the full retail version of the game. If you happen to be purchasing the recently announced Xbox One Madden NFL 16 bundle next month, you will be getting a year subscription to EA Access for no additional charge. That will let you play Star Wars Battlefront before the rest of the world come November.

The other option (outside of buying a yearly subscription to the service) is to pay $4.99 for the month of November. Paying $5 bucks to play the game five days early isn't a bad deal and you could always cancel the subscription afterwards.

Star Wars Battlefront releases to the masses on Nov. 17. You can check out 45 minutes of gameplay from the alpha here.
