Need a bit of a push to get out out of bed every morning? This bed will do you one better — it will literally catapult you off of your mattress and onto the floor. Rise and shine, sleepyhead!
Invented by the "mad genius" Colin Furze, who hosts his own web series called Furze's Invention Show, the High Voltage Ejector Bed uses a fitted metal framework with a built-in hinge. A compressor with attached solenoid valves and pistons is mounted underneath to trigger the catapult launch.
As of now, the bed is only semi-complete, but viewers will be able to see the final product in the next episode of Furze's show, which will be out July 30.
