The Samsung Galaxy S5 has made it way to Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile. The prepaid smartphone is now available from both carriers for $599.99.

Samsung's latest flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S5, is proving to be even more popular for the company than its predecessor. The smartphone has some new tricks up its sleeve like a 16-megapixel camera, heart-rate sensor and fingerprint scanner to name a few.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is currently available from all four major U.S. carriers and now it's being offered as a pre-paid smartphone from both Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile. Both carriers have priced the smartphone at $599.99 off-contract.

As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy S5 features a 5.1-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 432 pixels per inch. The smartphone is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, an Adreno 330 graphics-processing unit, and 2GB of RAM to provide a fast and fluid user interface.

Its camera capabilities consist of a 16-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and HDR mode, and a 2.1-megapixel front facing camera for video chat. The smartphone is running Android 4.4 KitKat along with an updated version of Samsung's TouchWiz UI. It ships with 16GB of internal storage and also has a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 128GB microSD cards. The Galaxy S5 uses a removable 2800 mAh battery that provides up to 21 hours of talk time and 390 hours of standby time. It also features an IP67 certified dust and water-resistant case.

Samsung has loaded up the Galaxy S5 with some new features, like Ultra Power Saving Mode, which turns the color display to black and white and shuts off nonessential applications and services to maximize its battery life considerably. The Galaxy S5 also has a fingerprint scanner embedded in its home button that allows you to unlock the smartphone with your finger and also authorize PayPal purchases.

If you've been waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S5 to make its way to the prepaid world, you now have two options from Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile.
