Amazon is offering a great deal on the popular Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phablet. Right now, buyers can pick up the smartphone in Frosted White for just $99 with a two-year contract.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is a popular powerhouse phablet, but with the new Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus set to debut shortly, it looks like Amazon and Samsung are looking to lighten their inventory on the soon to be former flagship by offering it at a great price. The Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus are both coming soon, with an unveiling expected at Samsung's Unpacked event on Aug. 13. The two phones are similar in size and features and will be competing for customer dollars along with other phablet offerings, including the Galaxy Note 4.

Right now, through Amazon, customers can purchase the Frosted White version of the Galaxy Note 4 for just $99 with a two-year contract on the Verizon Wireless network. The Galaxy Note 4 lately topped the ratings in a customer satisfaction survey, beating out the latest iPhones, Samsung's other offerings, and all other manufacturer's devices, including the flagships offered by Motorola, LG, and HTC.

Verizon is still considered the top wireless carrier in the country when it comes to customer satisfaction as well, so the combination of the best service with the best phablet at this great price is surely a winner for any smartphone fan.

The Galaxy Note 4 has also been updated to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop. The latest version, 5.1.1 hasn't been released yet for the phone on any US carrier, but as we have just reported, the update was made available in Russia. Russia is a common testing ground for software updates prior to their rollout in other territories, so this is a signal that Android 5.1.1 should be coming soon to the Note 4. This is expected to help with problems and issues being experienced by Note 4 users since the upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop from 4.4 KitKat several months ago.
