Microsoft has prepared itself for the release of Windows 10 and the launch site of the upcoming operating system has also gone live. #UpgradeYourWorld is being used by many Windows 10 enthusiasts who are keenly waiting to download the operating system on their PC and laptops.

On July 29, Windows 10 will be released to users across 190 countries in phases. Windows 10 will be available as a free upgrade to Windows 7 and Windows 8 users. To celebrate the launch, Microsoft is encouraging people to join the conversation about the release of Windows 10 on #UpgradeYourWorld.

"The launch of Windows 10 is being celebrated around the world with global fan celebrations and a new yearlong initiative to celebrate people and organizations making a difference around the world," per Windows 10 launch website.

Windows 10 will include many new features including Cortana, a voice controlled personal assistant released in Windows Phone 8.1, and it seems that many people are keenly waiting to use the personal assistant on their PCs.

Windows 10 will also bring back the Start menu that was taken off in Windows 8 and was missed by many Windows users.

Microsoft Edge, a new web browser, will replace Internet Explorer as the default browser in Windows 10. Microsoft Edge has proven to be faster than many existing web browsers such as Chrome and Safari.

"The Edge team has been continuing to optimize performance since first adding the new browser to Windows 10," said Gabe Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, in a blog post. "Microsoft Edge is even better and is beating Chrome and Safari on their own JavaScript benchmarks."

Those who registered to the Windows 10 Insider program would have the first glimpse of the operating system.
