The Star Wars films are known for their epic dog fighting space battles, and now, EA DICE has recreated those battles in its upcoming video game title Star Wars: Battlefront, and one particular space battle from that game is the feature of the latest trailer released by the company.

In this new trailer, which features gameplay footage, starfighters receive a mission to find an imperial transport attempting to escape and shoot it down. The trailer shows the perspective of one of those ships as it takes to the skies, soaring through space, overcoming obstacles and taking down targets.

This new trailer shows off a new mode for the game, as announced by EA at its Gamescom press conference yesterday. This mode, called Fighter Squadron, focuses on ship-to-ship combat in space, with a wide variety of iconic Star Wars ships available, such as X-Wings, A-Wings, TIE Fighters and TIE Interceptors.

Star Wars: Battlefront isn't a traditional game with a story mode and focuses exclusively on multiplayer. There is no single player mode, although there are solo missions players can take alone or play with a friend.

"I get it though, you also want a parallel Star Wars narrative experience," said DICE general manager Patrick Bach to Game Informer. "That is not what we're building. But we are building these small missions too. If you like our world and mechanics, but you don't want to play with strangers on the internet, then you can still enjoy this game."

If you'd like to see more of Star Wars: Battlefront, there's also a 45 minute gameplay trailer from the game's closed alpha test that shows off a mission that has the empire defending AT-AT walkers as they march towards a Rebel base, with the Rebels' needing to do what it takes to take down the walkers.

Star Wars: Battlefront releases on November 17 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
