As college students prepare to go back to school this September, Best Buy hopes to get them shelling out some money as it offers a host of attractive deals for various models of the Apple MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and iMac exclusive only to them.

The retail store chain has put up a host of Apple's computers on sale, with discounts anywhere from $30 to a good $100 to get students to pick up one of these Macs. Keep in mind that these deals are available on to college students, and there is no use trying to one-up Best Buy by dressing up as one, since customers will need to prove that they are currently enrolled in at least one college program and Best Buy will verify these claims before sending over the discount codes.

That said, here's a good look at the best Mac deals on Best Buy. At the moment, the cheapest model is the 11.6-inch MacBook Air, which is available at $799, down $100 from its regular price of $899. This is the latest model, and buyers can expect a good deal with the Intel Core i5 chip, 4 GB memory and 128 GB flash storage. A bigger MacBook Air with a 13.3-inch display and the same specs is also offered at a $100 discount, making it now $899. Keep in mind, though, that MacBook Airs have no DVD or CD drives.

Those who want more storage can opt for the 256 GB options, which are available now for $999 and $1,099 for the 11.6-inch and 13.3 inch options. However, a better deal for more storage is the $999 13.3-inch MacBook Pro, originally $1,099. It is an older model, but it does have a 500 GB hard drive as well as Bluetooth connectivity. Meanwhile, the newer MacBook Pro has a smaller flash storage of 128 GB, but it does have a Retina display, which is useful for design and media students, and 8 GB of memory, double the memory of the older MacBook Pro. The new MacBook Pro is down from $1,299 to $1,199.

Less impressive are the student deals for the iMac, but for students who want a good dorm room desktop, the 21.5-inch iMac with 1.4 GHz Intel Core i5 is only $1,029. That is a good $100 less than the new MacBook Pro and $70 off its original price of $1,099. Meanwhile, a 1TB iMac with a 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 is also available at $1,269. That is $30 off the regular price of $1,299. Both iMacs have support for wireless networking and Bluetooth. They also have a built-in webcam.
