The new service, set to launch on August 20th in Korea and September 28th here in the US (with an additional rollouts in the UK, Spain, China and elsewhere at an unspecified date). The service will come pre-loaded on both the Galsxy S6 Plus and Galaxy Note 5. It'll also be available as a software upgrade on a number of other Samsung devices.

Samsung has struck partnerships with a number of large financial groups, including American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, Bank of America, Chase and U.S. Bank. It utilizes Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) and Near Field Communication (NFC)  to work with a large number of point-of-sale terminals at retail locations
