The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 And S6 Edge+ are now on sale from the four major carriers in the U.S. — but what about the retail stores that were previously announced to be carrying the devices? Here's a rundown on the current availability for the phones at Best Buy, Target, Walmart and Amazon.

Best Buy is currently your best bet to snag a new Samsung phone, as it now has both the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ available in all colors and storage configurations. With a two-year contract from Verizon or Sprint, the 32 GB Note 5 is priced at $250, the 64 GB Note 5 is $350, while the 32 GB S6 Edge+ is $350 and the 64 GB S6 Edge+ is $450.

On the AT&T Next Plan, the Best Buy pricing is identical to that of the carrier, and listed as payments over a 30-month period as follows: the 32 GB Note 5 is $24.67 per month, the 64 GB Note 5 is $28.00 per month, the 32 GB S6 Edge+ is $27.17 per month and the 64 GB S6 Edge Plus is $30.50 per month. All phones on all carriers ship within the next week, and Best Buy is offering a free wireless charger with the purchase of either phablet, along with a $200 gift card with the trade-in of any working smartphone.

Over at Amazon, the only Galaxy Note 5 available as of yet is a 32 GB unlocked version, which is going for $828.90, and is available immediately with free shipping. No Galaxy S6 Edge+ is currently available, and carrier-affiliated U.S. phones are yet to go on sale on the site. We contacted Amazon, who told us that there is no specific ETA for those phones to go on sale, but that it would be "soon."

That's basically the same response we received from Target and Walmart reps — through customer service and by calling our local stores. Responses were the same from both stores for both phones: while there is no estimated arrival date, keep checking back because they were expected to be available "soon." The in-store Target rep added that the earliest the phones could possibly arrive at his particular location is Monday, August 24.

We'll continue to update you on the pricing and availability of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 And S6 Edge+ as the devices hit more stores. In the meantime, are you planning on buying one of Samsung's new flagship phablets — or have you already picked one up? Let us know in the comments below.
