We got the chance to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 multiplayer beta and we have to say, the game feels good. In terms of how it looks, well, there's nothing impressive there, but the gameplay is where it's at.

First off, we want to mention that the game this time around is faster than any Call of Duty title we have played in the past. The new movement mechanics, which are clearly borrowed from Titanfall, make the game a blast to play and will not be friendly to gamers who prefer slower paced first-person shooters.

We also have to give props to the developer, Treyarch, for not completely stealing everything that Titanfall brought to the world of gaming. At the end of the day, Call of Duty is still mostly grounded, so do not expect players to be wall running throughout the whole game.

Don't expect players to be traversing in huge robots causing havoc on the maps.

What is clear here, though, is the fact that Titanfall feels smoother than Black Ops 3 when wall running. This is expected since wall running is one of the most important gameplay aspects of Titanfall and, as such, should work best there.

Without using the new movement mechanics, we've come to realize that things move much slower. Folks who have played Advanced Warfare should notice this right away because that game was super fast, probably too fast for its own good.

One of the cool new implementations in Black Ops 3 is the specialist class. This class makes it possible for the developer to add popular shooting mechanics from other games into Black Ops 3. Players can wield a cool-looking hunting bow and something called the "Grav Spike" that is similar to the "First of Havok" ability in Destiny.

It brings strategy to the game, something many fans have been asking for. Whether or not it will work well in a game that is still very much a twitch shooter is left to be seen.

Overall, Black Ops 3 multiplayer is solid and more fun when compared to Ghosts and Advanced Warfare. This might very well be the Call of Duty game to save the franchise from mediocrity.
